Bulova Accutron M5 – 1965 – SS – 214 movement - SS
Bulova Accutron M5 in stainless steel with white dial movement and black Roman numerals marking each hour. At 6 o’clock is engraved “railroad approved”. The hands have the blue Breguet color with “Poire Corps Renfle” design. The second hand is red. It is a stainless-steel case with the set-up time in the back. It is engraved “Bulova Waterproof – M5 – Patented – Stainless Steel – E66187”. The watch comes with the mythic electronic movement 214. The watch comes a black leather strap with 18mm width between lugs.
History
The story of Joseph Bulova started in 1875 in the New York area in opening a small jewelry store in the Maiden Lane. Years after years, Bulova offers a full line of watches. In 1926, Bulova introduce a world premier “a practical clock radio”. 1930-1940 is a period of tremendous success for the brand with its rectangular gold-filled wristwatches with highly cambered cases. In the 1950’s, Bulova is the first with electronic watches, the “Accutron”. In 1967, Bulova bought Universal then in 1979 is acquired by Loews Corp. and in 2001bought Wittnauer.
