Breitling Colt Oceane - A57350 - blue dial - SS – Quartz – 33mm
Breitling Colt Oceane with Reference A57350 in stainless steel with blue round dial and silver batons and Arabic numerals (6, 9, 12) for each hour. At 6 o’clock is engraved “Colt Oceane – Chronometre – 500M / 1650FT”. The hands are in silver with “Sword” style. The date window comes at 3 o’clock. The watch has a unidirectional rotative bezel with marks for 15, 30 and 45. The watch has a screwed crown. It is a screw back case with engraved “Chronometre Officiellement Certifie – Etanche 500 m – Manufacture en Suisse – A 57350 - 175132”. The watch is waterproof 500 M. The watch has a Breitling quartz movement. It is a stainless-steel bracelet with double clasp Breitling buckle. The watch fits a 6.5 inches wrist. The watch come with a Breitling box.
History
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
