Bulova Accutron from the 1960’s in SS with TV screen
Bulova Accutron in stainless steel with two tone TV dial, inner blue and outer grey with blue batons marking each hour. At 6 o’clock comes the Accutron logo and at 12 o’clock is “Bulova Accutron”. At 3 o’clock comes the date and day windows. Staninless steel hands with baton style and white hand for the seconds. The crown comes with the Bulova logo. The watch has a screwed stainless-steel case with engraved in the back “Bulova Water Resistant – Stainless Steel – Patented – 5-98705”. The watch comes with the mythic electronic movement. The watch comes a blue leather strap. The watch has a lot of style.
History
The story of Joseph Bulova started in 1875 in the New York area in opening a small jewelry store in the Maiden Lane. Years after years, Bulova offers a full line of watches. In 1926, Bulova introduce a world premier “a practical clock radio”. 1930-1940 is a period of tremendous success for the brand with its rectangular gold-filled wristwatches with highly cambered cases. In the 1950’s, Bulova is the first with electronic watches, the “Accutron”. In 1967, Bulova bought Universal then in 1979 is acquired by Loews Corp. and in 2001bought Wittnauer.
