Nimer chronograph with caliber Valjoux 22 in stainless steel from the 1950’s
Beautiful stainless steel cream/yellow round dial Nimer with two sub dials with minutes at 3 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. On the outer of the dial, you have 3 beautiful rings one for the seconds in black, one in blue for the tachymeter and red for the telemeter. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The watch has Arabic numerals and “Feuille” design hands. The hand for the chronograph has a stick style. It is a stainless-steel case with engraved outside “Waterproof – Antimagnetic – 2501 – Shock protected – Swiss Made – Staybrite Steel”. The watch comes with a winding movement and caliber Valjoux 22 and 17 jewels. The watch comes with a brown leather band. Very collectable timepiece.
History
Nimer was a subsidiary of Mulco Watches, SA. First registered as a trademark in 1936 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Mulco produced watches until the 1970s, when the brand succumbed to the Quartz Crisis. Movements used by this company include various ETA and Valjoux calibers, as well as movements by Excelsior Park.
