Breitling Bentley 24-hour Chronograph Le Mans limited edition 77/288 with reference AB022022 with a round carbon black dial and white Arabic numerals for your hours. 3 sub dials with minutes at 3 o’clock, hours at 6 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. 2 outer rings, one being a tachymeter. At 6 o’clock is engraved in red “Limited Edition”. It is a Swiss Made model. Brushed bezel and Breitling crown. It is a stainless-steel screwed case with engraved in the back “Bentley Motors – Manufactured in Switzerland by Breitling – Limited Edition 77/288 – AB 0220 – 4202839” Manual winding movement with caliber 02 with 39 jewels. It is a COSC chronometer certified movement. The watch come with a rubber band and stainless-steel Breitling clasp. The watch comes with full set, including warranty, booklets, Attestation de chronometre, Limited Edition certificate and box. The watch fits a 7.50 inches wrist.
History
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
