Beautiful Zenith in 18K yellow gold with cal 120 from 1957 – Fully serviced
Dressy Zenith in 18K yellow gold with round champagne dial and gold marks for each hour. The patina on the dial is beautiful. The hands are in gold with “Dauphine” style. It is a “Swiss” model. It is an original Zenith crown. The watch has an 18K yellow gold screwed back case with engraved inside “Zenith – Swiss Made – 18K - .750” and outside “683745” The watch has a manual winding movement with caliber Zenith 120 with 18 jewels. It is numbered “4646806”. The watch comes with a brand new lizard brown strap with 16mm width between lugs.
History
A man called Georges Favre Jacot set-up a company in 1865. He experienced a large successful offering pocket watches as accuracy as possible. In 1896, it won a gold medal at the Swiss National Exhibition. In 1960, Zenith takes over Martel Watch Co., which developed the calibers 285 and 749 for Universal. They became the 246 Zenith family. In 1969, Zenith introduces the first ever-automatic chronograph with central winding rotor, the mythical “El Primero”. Since 1999, the company is owned by LVMH. Their current leading products are “Chronomaster XXT”, the tourbillon chronograph, the “Traveler” and “Defy Xtreme”.

Manual winding sub second movement with caliber 120 with 18 jewels, 18,000 A/h and 47 hours of power reserve. 100,000 movements were produced between 1953 and 1962.
