Silver round dial automatic Montblanc with reference 116057 in stainless steel. It is a very stylish watch with a silver dial with black Arabic numerals and batons. The window for the date is at 3 o’clock. The hands are in stainless steel with Baton style. It is a “L Swiss Made L” model. The watch has a black ceramic bezel. It has a black crown with the classic Montblanc logo. It is a screwed back case with crystal sapphire and engraved outside “Montblanc – water resistant 10 bars – Swiss Made – 550 h - Stainless Steel – Timewalker – 7426 – PLNG3HH00. Automatic movement with caliber 2417 Montblanc Meisterstuck – 26 jewels Swiss Made. The watch comes with a stainless-steel bracelet and double clasp buckle. Width between lugs is 20mm. The lengh of the bracelet is 7.75 inches. Full set with watch, box, papers, guide booklet and warranty.

History

Montblanc is famous for its pens, leather goods but in 1997 it has decided to develop a watch line. I was skeptical at the time but have to acknowledge that it has developed a reputation for quality and craftsmanship. The first model was the Montblanc Meisterstuck watch inspired and equivalent of the famous Meisterstuck pen. This watch proved to be the success that put Montblanc watches on the road to haute horlogerie in 2006. The line was created under the auspices of master watchmaker Thierry Pellaton. Today most of the watches are crafted in the Swiss village of Le Locle which has been making timepieces since 1705.
