Lucien Piccard – Blancpain Rayville in 18K with caliber 530
Very rare Lucien Piccard – Blancpain Rayville in 18k yellow gold with champagne dial and black Arabic numerals for hours. It is a “Swiss” model. The watch comes with black hands and “Stick” design.
It is a 18K yellow gold case with engraved inside “Blancpain Rayville SA – Swiss – 18K -.750” and outside “Lucien Piccard – 18K – Switzerland – 16000”. The watch has a manual winding movement with caliber Blancpain Rayville 530 and 17 jewels. The watch comes with a black leather strap and width between lugs is 17mm.
HISTORY
Lucien Piccard was founded in 1923 in Lausanne, Switzerland and was known for making gold watches. Many celebrities and royalties wore the brand. Lucien Piccard was the pioneer to use gemstones on watches and one of the precursors of the slim-line timepieces. Blancpain Rayville was the distributor of Blancpain SA in the US. The company was located in New York city. It was also the company that signed the contract with the US Army to provide the Tornek Rayville TR900 to their elite diving department. It later became the famous marine corps Navy Seal.
