Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra-Thin Moon 39 with reference 176.8.64S and round light grey dial and arrow marking each hour and dots for minute. At 6 o clock comes a sub dial for the calendar and monophase. The hands are in stainless steel with “Dauphine” style and the second hand is blue. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The crown comes with the JLC logo. The set-up for the calendar is at 4 o’clock. It is a stainless-steel screwed back case with exhibition crystal sapphire and around engraved “Jaeger Lecoultre – Swiss Made – 5 bar – 176.8.64S – 3300886 – 1000 JLC control”. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber 925 and 30 jewels. The watch has a JLC black alligator strap with buckle. Width between lugs is 21mm. The watch comes with the tool to set-up the calendar, box and manual of operation.
History
The story of Lecoultre started in 1833 with Charles Antoine LeCoultre. In 1844 he invented the “millionometre” and then in 1851, he obtained a gold medal for his work and products at the universal exhibition. In 1877, LeCoultre built movement and between 1860 and 1925, it made 60,000 with various level of complication. 1925 is the merger with Edmond Jaeger. After this time came amazing pieces like the duoplan and the smallest caliber 101. Then came the Reverso in 1931, the Memovox in 1951, the Futurematic in 1953. In july 2000, the company became part of the Richemont group.
