Girard Perregaux round panda light gray dial with three-sub dial, 3 o’clock for the seconds, hours at 6 o’clock and minutes at 9 o’clock. Hours are marked with a silver baton and Arabic numeral for 12 o’clock. The watch has a tachymeter graduated up to 1000. The window for the date is between 4 and 5 o’clock. At 6 o’clock comes “F1 – 2000”. The hands have “Sword” style with excellent luminous. The crown comes with the GP logo. It is a stainless steel back screwed cased with engraved outside “ Manufacture specialement pour Ferrari Formula 1 -2000 – 2000 Formula 1 – World champion – 70/2000 – Girard Perregaux – 4936. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber 3370 and 63 jewels. The watch comes with original black rubber Girard Perregaux strap and silver GP buckle.
History
The story of the company started in 1791 with Jean-Francois Bautte who made his first watches. Later on, Mr. J. D. Moulinier became his partner. In 1897, Felipe Hecht became owner. In 1906, his son Juan Hetch, handed over the luxury company to Constant Girard-Gallet. The latter was heir to a watch company founded by Constant Girard in La Chaux de Fonds in 1850, which took its name Girard Perregaux from its owner’s marriage to Marie Perregaux. In 1889, the company won 13 gold medals and testimonials. Then, the company went through tumultuous times and owners. The company came with a famous watch called the Olimpico and then the Gyromatic in 1957. The company offers a large range of exclusive calibers and complications under the management of Luigi Macaluso and the Sowind Group.
