History
The story of the company started in 1791 with Jean-Francois Bautte who made his first watches. Later on, Mr. J. D. Moulinier became his partner. In 1897, Felipe Hecht became owner. In 1906, his son Juan Hetch, handed over the luxury company to Constant Girard-Gallet. The latter was heir to a watch company founded by Constant Girard in La Chaux de Fonds in 1850, which took its name Girard Perregaux from its owner’s marriage to Marie Perregaux. In 1889, the company won 13 gold medals and testimonials. Then, the company went through tumultuous times and owners. The company came with a famous watch called the Olimpico and then the Gyromatic in 1957. The company offers a large range of exclusive calibers and complications under the management of Luigi Macaluso and the Sowind Group.
