Franck Muller Vanguard with reference V45 SC DT with white oval dial and red Arabic numerals for hours.  At 6 o’clock is engraved Vanguard. On the outer, you have a 360-degree marking ring. (See photo). The window for the date is at 6 o’clock. It is a “Swiss Made” model.  The hands are in steel with baton shape. The shape of the watch is curvex and seats very well on the wrist. The screwed red crown comes with the FM logo. It is a stainless steel screwed back case with engraved outside “Franck Muller – Geneve – Master of Complication – AC RC #618 – V45 SC DT”. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber 800 and 21 jewels. The watch comes with a red leather/rubber strap with the double clasp Franck Muller. It is a full set including watch, box, tags and certificate of origin.

History

The company was founded in 1991 as Tchnowatch SA and renamed Franck Muller Watchland SA in 1998. Franck Muller started his training when he was 20 years old and was considered as best in his class. He also worked for Patek Philippe restoring watches for the Patek museum. His true love was complicated watches and moved in this direction. Quickly he got international exposure through his talent and Elton John who dedicated him a song called ”Harmony”. In 2003, the company was one of the top independent watchmakers producing 49,000 luxury watches. 2004 was a chaotic year when Franck’s partner Vartan Sirmakes took control of the company. Also a changed happened with the watches. The company stopped using ETA movement and use only movements made in cooperation with Indtec SA such as the one you find in the “Aeternitas” watch with a perpetual calendar.
