Bulova Marine Star chronograph in stainless steel with Valjoux 7731
Bulova Marine Star chronograph with round black dial and Arabic numerals. It comes with two sub dials, minutes at 3 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. At six o’clock comes a round of red stars and Marine Star. It is a “Swiss Made” model. Luminous are excellent. The watch has a black bezel graduated up to fifty. It is a stainless-steel screwed back case with engraved inside “BA 8080101A” and outside “Bulova Marine Star – 50M – Swiss Made – 07500”. The watch comes with a manual winding movement with caliber Valjoux 7731 and 17 jewels. The watch comes with a brown leather strap. Width between lugs is 22mm.
History
The story of Joseph Bulova started in 1875 in the New York area in opening a small jewelry store in the Maiden Lane. Years after years, Bulova offers a full line of watches. In 1926, Bulova introduce a world premier “a practical clock radio”. 1930-1940 is a period of tremendous success for the brand with its rectangular gold-filled wristwatches with highly cambered cases. In the 1950’s, Bulova is the first with electronic watches, the “Accutron”. In 1967, Bulova bought Universal then in 1979 is acquired by Loews Corp. and in 2001bought Wittnauer.
