Breilting Headwind Day Date with ref A45355 with white dial and silver baton marking each hour. The watch has an inner circle graduated up to 100. The window for the date is at 3 o’clock and the day at 12 o’clock. At 6 o’clock is engraved “Chronometre – Officiellement Certifie – Automatic – 500m / 1650 ft”. The hands are in silver with “Sword” style. Luminous are good. The watch has a screwed crown with the Breitling design. It is a stainless-steel screwed back case with engraved outside “Breitling 1884 – Manufacture en Suisse – Etanche 500m – A45355 – Chronometre Officiellement Certifie”. It is a Breitling automatic movement with caliber 45 and 25 jewels. The watch has a brand-new black leather strap with original Breitling buckle.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
