In 1952 came a new chronograph called “Navitimer” is a word derived from “Navi” for the word “Navigation” plus the word “Timer”.

Breilting Navitimer Ref 806 Re-Edition 1959 with black round dial. The watch has three sub dials, the minutes at 3 o’clock, hours at 6 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. It has Arabic numerals for hours. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The hands are white in stainless steel with stick design. The watch comes with a white rotate tachymeter bezel. The crown comes with the Breitling logo. It is a stainless-steel back case with engraved outside “Breitling – Stainless Steel – 1787/1959 – AB0910 - 4343646. The watch comes with a Bretling manual winding movement with caliber B09 and 47 jewels. The watch comes with a black leather strap. Width between lugs is 22mm. Full set.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
