Beautiful Jaeger Lecoultre Master Compressor watch with reference 146.8.25 in stainless steel. The watch has a round black dial and Arabic numerals and batons marking each hour. Three sub dials, 30 minutes at 3 o’clock, seconds at 6 o’clock, and 12-hour elapsed time counter at 9 o’clock. The window for the date is at 6 o’clock. On the outer comes a tachymeter graduated up to 400. It is “Swiss Made” model. The hands are in steel with Dauphine design. All the pushers and crown are screwed. It is a screwed back case in stainless steel with engraved outside “Jaeger Lecoultre – Chronograph - 10 ATM – 146.8.25 – Master Compressor – 1000 hours - #1824”. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber 751and 41 jewels. The watch comes with a stainless steel JLC bracelet and double clasp. The bracelet fits a 7.5 inches wrist. Full set with box, outer box, guarantee certificate and instruction manual.
History
The story of Lecoultre started in 1833 with Charles Antoine LeCoultre. In 1844 he invented the “millionometre” and then in 1851, he obtained a gold medal for his work and products at the universal exhibition. In 1877, LeCoultre built movement and between 1860 and 1925, it made 60,000 with various level of complication. 1925 is the merger with Edmond Jaeger. After this time came amazing pieces like the duoplan and the smallest caliber 101. Then came the Reverso in 1931, the Memovox in 1951, the Futurematic in 1953. In july 2000, the company became part of the Richemont group.
