Tag Heuer Monza Ref CR2111 chronograph in stainless steel with Cal ETA 2894-2
First series reedition Tag Heuer Monza with reference CR2111 with round white dial and steel baton for each hour. The watch has three sub-dials for seconds at 3 o’clock, hours at 6 o’clock and minutes a 9 o’clock. The date window is between 4 and 5 o’clock. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The hands are in steel with “Sword” design. The crown comes with the Tag Heuer logo. It is a screwed stainless steel back case with engraved outside “Corinthians 13:4-8 – Heuer by Tag Heuer – CR2111 – ZY3698 - All My Love – Chris”. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber ETA2894-2 and 37 jewels. The watch comes with a black strap and stainless-steel buckle.
History
The company was founded by Edouard Heuer in 1860 in opening a watch comptoir (dealership) in Saint Imier. In 1864, he moves to Bienne with a signed “E Heuer & Compagnie”. 1869, he applied for a patent for an “Independent crown-winding system”. In 1880, he is the first watch producer to start on the series production of chronographs. In 1910 Heuer creates the “doctor’s chronograph with pulsometer. In 1916 Heuer register a patent for the “Microsplit”. 1930, Heuer patented the design of waterproof case. 1949 comes the “Solunar” and the magic “Carrera” in 1963. 1964, Heuer merged with Leonidas S.A. Since 1999, the company is owned by the LVMH Group. In 2006, the “Carrera 360” took up the mantle of the “Microsplit”, a stopwatch accurate to 1/100th of a second.
