Breitling Bentley Mulliner White Gold perpetual calendar and chronograph with reference J2936212 with round white dial and batons and dots marking each hour. The watch comes with 4 sub dials, 12 o’clock for constant seconds combined with date and the seasons, 9 o’clock for 30 minutes register combined with month and leap year, 6 o’clock for 12 hours register combined with day in English and 24-hour indication, and 3 o’clock moon phase with ages of the moon. Hands are in gold with baton shape. The watch comes with a rotative bezel with white inner ring. The crown comes with the Breitling logo and two pushers for the chronograph. It is a white gold case with engraved in the back “Brentley Mulliner – Limited edition 24/50 – Certified chronometer – Tested 5 bars – Manufacture in Switzerland – Breitling – J29362 - .750 - 780853” It is a self-winding movement with caliber ETA 2892 and 38 jewels. The watch has a brown alligator leather strap with a 18K white gold double clasp buckle. Width between lugs is 24mm. It is a full set with box, Mulliner Perpetual booklet, international warranty, certificate of LE and certificate of chronometre.
History
Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
