Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 - Ref A17320 – Special Edition - SS - caliber 17 – Full Set

Breitling Superocean Heritage 46 “Chronometre Officiellement Certifie” with Reference A17320 in stainless steel with blue dial and steel batons marking each hour. The hands are white with “Sword” style. All the luminous are excellent. The date window comes at 6 o’clock. On the outer of the dial comes a white ring for second.  At 6 o’clock, you have engraved “Superocean Automatic 200m /660FT”. The watch has a unidirectional blue rotative bezel (See tiny dent at 1 o’clock on the bezel). The watch has a screwed crown with Breitling logo. It is a screw back case with engraved “Breitling Chronometre Superocean Certifie Edition Speciale Etanche 200M - A 17320”. The watch is waterproof 200 M. The watch has a Breitling automatic movement with caliber 17 and 26 jewels. It is a Breitling mash stainless steel bracelet with a Breitling clasp.  It fits an 8 inches wrist with the extra links. The watch comes with the box, tag, Attestation de Chronometrie, manual of operations, international warranty and box.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.

Technical details

Breitling automatic movement with caliber B17 on the base of the ETA 2824-2. It comes with 26 jewels, 28,800 bph and is a certified Chronometer (COSC). The watch has 38 hours of power reserve.
