Beautiful Breitling  Classic AVI with reference A23380 with blue round dial and Arabic numerals for each hour. 3 sub dials, one at 3 o’clock for the minutes, hours at 6 o’clock and seconds at 9 o’clock. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The hands are white color with baton style. Luminous are excellent. The watch has a be-directional silver bezel with graduation up to 11. The crown comes with the Breitling logo. The case is in stainless steel with a screwed back case with engraved outside “Manufacture en Suisse – Certifie Chronometre – Classi   AVI – A23380 – 100M – 20045051”. The watch comes with an automatic movement with caliber 23 and 27 jewels. The watch comes with a Breitling stainless steel bracelet with double clasp. It fits an 8 inches wrist. Full set including warranty card, booklet and box. The lugs are still covered with plastic. The warranty expires in March 2028.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
