Rare Chopard Ice Cube with Ref 7424/8 - quartz movement (Large size)
Rare funky Chopard Ice Cube with 18K yellow gold square dial. It is a “Swiss Made” model. The watch has blue “Sword” style hands. The crown is at 3 o’clock. The watch comes with a screwed 18K gold case with engraved outside “Chopard – 7424/8 - 908082” The case is 8mm thick. The watch comes with a black, brown Chopard alligator strap and original 18K yellow gold buckle. It is a reverso strap. Width between lugs is 20mm. The watch comes with the original box and manuals.
History
Louis Ulysse founded the company in 1860. It was the start of “LUC”. His strategy was precision and quality. The turning point of the company is 1963 when he meets Karl Scheufele of Pforzheim who wants to continue the watch activity. It was the beginning of the prosperity for LUC. Since 1996, Chopard makes its own caliber including the 1.96 with mini-motor, the LUC Quattro with four mainsprings barrels, the LUC tourbillon and in 2006 the company own column-wheel chronograph. At the same time, Chopard develops the luxury Fleurier quality seal in conjunction with other companies.
