Zenith Elite Port Royal V - Ref 01/02.0451.680 in stainless steel
Zenith Elite Port Royal with reference 01/02.0451.680 with round two tone light gray dial with Arabic numerals and arrow marking the hours. The outer minutes are marked with red Arabic numerals. The second sub dial is at 9 o’clock and Automatic is engraved at 6 o’clock. The window for the date is at 3 o’clock. It is a Swiss Made model. The crown is engraved with the Zenith logo. The watch comes with a stainless steel case and screwed exhibition crystal sapphire case back with engraved around “Zenith - Port Royal V – Stainless Steel – Swiss Made – 01/02.0451.680 – Water Resistant”. Automatic Zenith movement with caliber 680 and 26 jewels. The watch comes with the original stainless-steel bracelet and double clasp. The bracelet fits an 8 inches wrist.
History
A man called Georges Favre Jacot set-up a company in 1865. He experienced a large successful offering pocket watches as accuracy as possible. In 1896, it won a gold medal at the Swiss National Exhibition. In 1960, Zenith takes over Martel Watch Co., which developed the calibers 285 and 749 for Universal. They became the 246 Zenith family. In 1969, Zenith introduces the first ever-automatic chronograph with central winding rotor, the mythical “El Primero”. Since 1999, the company is owned by LVMH. Their current leading products are “Chronomaster XXT”, the tourbillon chronograph, the “Traveler” and “Defy Xtreme”.
