History
Cuervo y Sobrinos was founded in 1882 in Habana, Cuba. The Cuervo family founded their boutique “La Casa” at the prestigious Quinta Avenida of Havana. When founded the brand became quickly popular especially within watch aficionados. Celebrities like Einstein, Churchill, Hemingway, and Clark Gable owned Cuervo watches. After the Cuban event in 1959, the brand remained dormant for 40 years. This legendary brand was recently revived in 2002 by Marzio Villa with old historic roots from the 19th century. Most of the current models are influenced and inspired by famed Cuba’s trade-cigars.
